Join Stefanie Wednesday's at 5:15 pm for our new 4 Week Tweens Intro to Aerial Series! Your tweens will take to the air and learn aerial tricks on our colorful silks!
PLUS, this now INCLUDES Friday Tween Open Studio from 5:15-6:15p during the series. This will allow your tween time to practice what they learn in class on Wednesday!
Whether your tween is brand new to aerial or a returning student, this new series will be sure to be equal parts fun and challenging!
The tween series is for students ages 8 – 13 running four consecutive Wednesday at 5:15p starting May 6 . Students will learn silk theory, tricks, flips and drops, BUT this time, try it out on each apparatus our studio offeres (*see description below*). As always, this series is sequential and information is built upon each week. Then during the final week, they will sequence together what they learn and put on a mini performance for their friends/family during their last class.
*Aerial Apparatus: We recently updated our rigging gear to include swivels which now allows us to host aerial hammock, aerial sling and aerial silks. Aerial Hammock means the silk is static and fixed to two points like a swing. Aerial Sling is similar however it attaches at one point allowing 360 degrees of rotation. Aerial Silks are two separate pieces of fabric where knots, wraps and grip are required to get air bound. If your child has taken aerial hammock or sling before they will now get to explore the even more challenging and strength based split silks. Plus, if your tween like spinning, the swivel allows them to spin as much or as little as they like!
Because we are introducing a new apparatus, this will be a “Back to Basics” series where we revisit many of the moves previous series students have already learned. However, we can level up or down various skills to allow for engaging learning for every skill set! Students will see their strength, mobility, flexibility and endurance soar as they defy gravity!
*Spinning is entirely optional and your tween will control how much and how fast they rotate!
