Beginner Friendly Classes

  • This 4-week Foundational Aerial Yoga class series is the perfect way to try Aerial Yoga. Whether you are a complete beginners or looking to refresh your skills, this class series will teach you the basics of Aerial Yoga in a safe, supportive and inclusive environment. This class class series moves in a sequential manner - starting with the most basic then moving into more challenging poses over the course of the four weeks. By the end of the course, you will understand safety precautions, inverting and climbing techniques, and many foundational Aerial Yoga postures.

  • This class will use the silk to assist you in getting into gentle deep stretches allowing you will become familiar with the feel and pressure of the silk on your body. Students often find that using the aerial hammock allows them to experience deeper stretches, increased balance and more joint mobility then you might find in a typical yoga class.

    Most classes will offer the opportunity for an inversion and will end with an extended shavasana all wrapped up and gently swaying in your silk.

  • In this fun class you will be learning and performing a choreographed aerial dance. Each class stands alone but the same dance is often practiced over consecutive classes allowing you to become familiar with the routine.

    The Beginner Aerial Dance Class focuses on stretching and strength, with a trick or two thrown in.

    All Levels Aerial Dance moves a bit faster than the beginner class and includes more challenging poses with modifications for those newer to the practice.

  • In Aerial yoga you will move through many familiar yoga poses utilizing a silk hammock. Taking yoga to the air allows for deeper stretching and strengthening as you work to stabilize your body while gravity eases you deeper into your stretches. These class will move faster than an Aerial Gentle Yoga Class and will include more inversions allowing you to experience the benefits of being upside-down (increased circulation & increased immunity) without compressing the neck and spine.

    Each class ends with a shavasana all wrapped up and gently swaying in your silk.

    In Beginner Aerial Yoga you will find the teacher taking time to demonstrate inversions and challenging poses.

    All Levels Aerial Yoga moves a bit faster than the beginner class. Inversions will be held longer and more options will be given for students to amplify the practice through challenging transitions and more advanced poses.

  • We will be moving the silks down close to the ground for this Aerial Yin Yoga class. Expect to hold poses for 3 - 5 minutes allowing you to target connective tissues – ligaments, joints, bones, the deep fascia networks of the body and the meridians. No prior aerial experience needed for this all levels class.

  • Beginner friendly Aerial Yoga class for children ages 8 - 14 focused on helping students to develop a foundational Aerial Yoga practice.

  • In this fun class you will be learning and performing a choreographed aerial dance. Each class stands alone but the same dance is often practiced over consecutive classes allowing you to become familiar with the routine.

    This challenging class will introduce more advances postures and moves. For safety reasons we require that you already have a strong aerial practice, have mastered outer thigh lock and have permission from the teacher prior to signing up.

  • In Aerial yoga you will move through many familiar yoga poses utilizing a silk hammock. Taking yoga to the air allows for deeper stretching and strengthening as you work to stabilize your body while gravity eases you deeper into your stretches. These class will move faster than an Aerial Gentle Yoga Class and will include more inversions allowing you to experience the benefits of being upside-down (increased circulation & increased immunity) without compressing the neck and spine.

    You will experience many of the familiar inversions and postures that you see in all levels aerial with more variations, extended holds and an opportunity to learn more advanced postures. This class requires significant aerial experience and teacher approval prior to signing up.

  • In this invigorating aerial conditioning class will give you a great total body workout and is specifically designed to help you build up the strength and endurance needed for a more advanced aerial practice.

    The class utilizes free-weights and consists of drills in the fabric designed specifically to strengthen for aerial flips and tricks. Inversions and stretches in the fabric are used as a rest in between exercises. This aerial class will help you get strong and stable, and leave you feeling empowered.

    To take this class you will be required to stay in the silk for extended periods of time (sometimes inverted) while performing strengthening movements. It is recommended that you begin with beginner or all levels classes, or that you take the 4 week Foundations of Aerial series before moving to an Aerial Conditioning class.

  • This is your time to play with different aerial skills and sequences. One of our Aerial Yoga teachers will be on hand to help you explore new poses during this fun and interactive Open Studio.

    Many of our advanced students use this time to attempt new challenging poses and to work on dance routines.. Due to the nature of this class it is important that students are comfortable with safely getting in and out of inversions and have had a significant amount of aerial experience. This class is not recommended for beginners.
