4Week Tween Series

Have a child ages 8-12 that is look for a fun after school activity that helps move their body and make new friends? Then send them to us at Aerial Moon and we will have them literally flying! Aerial Arts is a unique activity that combines dance and acrobatics on a silk hammock suspended from a spinning point in the ceiling. We teach students terminology, safety, the basics of aerial inversions, climbs, tricks and poses. Many of the skills combine the strength and flexibility of gymnastics with the mobility and focus of yoga. With these skills we quickly build your child’s endurance and confidence. This beginner friendly class is 4 consecutive Wednesdays at 5:15p starting Sept 16.

5Week LEVEL 1 Tween Series

Have a child ages10-14 that has already taken our Intro to Aerial Arts Series? Then let them level up in our new LEVEL 1 Tween Series that runs for 5 consecutive weeks starting Friday Sept 18. Class will be Fridays at 5:15p. Students will learn a new skill and trick each week on aerial sling and split silks. Plus we will be focusing on sequencing skills together with music which helps to build endurance! Week 1&2 will be on Sling and Weeks 3&4 will be on Split Silks. During week 5 students will practice the sequences they have learned for the first 40 min and then parents/families are invited to come for the last 20 min of class to watch a short demo of the skills your tween learned over the series!

Start with a Beginner Friendly Class

Ready to jump right in? We offer a variety of classes that are beginner friendly. Look for Gentle, Beginner and All Levels on the schedule. These classes will move at a slower pace and allow you to get a feel for being in the silk. In most cases you will still have an opportunity to hang upside down and see how it feels in your body.

Testimonials

  • Amazing class and the instructor is so reassuring and kind. Even if you don't think you can do it, do it! Can't wait to do more. This is the first time in my life I have left sessions feeling better and excited to do more.

Aerial Moon Studio Guidelines

NO pronged jewelry (rings, earrings, necklaces, etc.) on aerial hammock.

Aerial clothing must NOT have snaps, hooks, or zippers or any fixtures that could snag in the hammock.

  • Bring a water bottle with a closed top. No glass unless it has a protective covering.

  • Try to be at least 10min early so we can adjust silk heights and start class on time. For security & to avoid class interruptions, we lock the door at the start of each class

  • Don’t eat a heavy meal right before class and stay hydrated. If you feel nauseous, sit/lay on the mat. We do provide ginger chews and alcohol wipes to reduce nausea.

Cancellation Policy:

Due to small class sizes, and to be fair to our teachers and other students, we require 4 hour notice of cancellation.  This will allow us the time to reach out to students on the wait list so they may have the opportunity to attend.  Failure to cancel within that time frame without any notification will result in fees.
